I have been asked by friends why the colours look different on different computer screens.

The answer lies in monitor/LCD calibration.

google "monitor calibration" and you will find over 2 million entries  grin

how you calibrate your monitors whether by hardware/software or pay someone to do it the point is your monitor must be calibrated.

No excuses,  for monitor calibration is very easy and if you care about your images, you need to care about the condition of your monitor/LCD

Now for astro imaging I get by with the inbuilt Photoshop calibrator and with this free tool.

And if you want to print your astroimages then you must calibrate your computer screen and your printer. But that is another story. shocked

cheers
