I am not sure about the GP2...but Vixen do modified their previous GP mount to become a portable photo guider mount...but discontinued.
If you dare to take out the Dec axis from your GP2 and the R.A axis remain not affected by the Dec axis, that mean it can be modify.
But I don't think this is a good way.
I would rather displace the counterweight shaft and make an adapter to mount camera over there....
