Even Nikon can do astrophotography. grin

The bright areas are landing sites of Luna 24, Luna 20 and Luna 16.  Russian robotic probes that return samples of the moon rocks

On the Moon the terminator (that separates darkness from brightness) due to lack of atmosphere and air, is  a clear sharp line

At this terminator line starting from top:

Apollo 17 to date the final manned landing

Apollo 11 the first manned landing

cheers

I thought this is still crescent moon... huh

Nikon can do astrophotography, just limited to those bright objects.

Anyway, good efforts.
