Have the Canon 60D IR Filter replaced with Astrodon UV/IR block filter.

here is a single frame shot of the Triffid and Lagoon nebula at ISO 800 using the Pentax SDUF2 telescope

no in  camera noise reduction for this 150sec image.

I wonder what the 5D mk 3 will be like.

Image taken at Dr Rowi's Mini Observatory. TQ Cik Ainul of Maahad Perempuan for NJP2  mount control.

cheers

Untuk single exposure, ni dah macam sangat cantik.

Bila kiranya praktikal untuk applykan In Camera Noise Reduction feature itu?

the Trifid and Lagoon nebula
Canon 60D mod
from 10 X 150sec  lights and 5 X darks. No flats, no bias used.

Processed using DSSbeta and PS.

Processed using Image Plus Demo(hence the X) and PS

for comparison from a single light frame

somehow the proceesed colours are more muted. grin

cheers

I was just about to say the same thing. Maybe in this case, a dark subtraction is sufficient...

will try at Kampar this weekend. Take one shot with in camera noise subtraction. cool

BTW any more from Planetarium joining us this weekend. Jangan malu2

Iris kena guna scripting. Tak reti lah. Saya buka computer geek.  grin

Image Plus pun baru touch surface. The strength of IP is Digital Development function. Dedicated for DSLR too. CCD sampingan saje. Sekarang masih meraba raba. Banyak lagi mesti di terokoi. Kena beli baru dapat video training CD. evil

Maxim DL terbalik. Meant for mono CCD. DSLR sampingan saje.

Nak cuba guna PixInsight with its powerful Dynamic Backgound extraction and wavelet functions.

cheers

Last aritu masa belajar shorcuts thru the new Iris, the only typing necessary was file naming (around 5-6 times)... But u have to go thru a (lenghty) process sedikit (refer previous sentence). Mungkin boleh minta slides from Perseids.

I need to learn PHD guiding dan alignment for this weekend... pronto!
