NGC 2467

Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera

This was taken last night, with moon like 20-30 degree nearby, and somewhat hazy sky.

Actually I was frantically trying to get my FocusMax V-curves correct before the sky gets worse, and the result, a slightly out-of-focus image.. syyyyy... binning to the rescue.

Noise somewhat extreme due to haze and some high clouds occasionally pops up.

Not a good clean image and need to grab more data

Telescope: SW Equinox 120ED
Mount: EQ6 Pro with EQMOD
Guiding: Orion 80mm and QHY5
Imaging Software: Maxim DL
Processing Software: Maxim DL and PS3
Exposures: L: 6 x 100sec, R: 3 x 60sec, G: 3 x 60sec, B: 3 x 60sec
Calibration: Old Flats (per color) and Darks
Dither : 2 pixel per sub


Jom Belajar
NGC 2467,  adalah sebuah formasi yang dipanggil Nebula dan terletak di dalam buruj Puppis (di langit selatan). Jaraknya adalah dianggarkan sekitar 17,000 Tahun Cahaya jauhnya!

Jelesnye org dah ada permanent setup. Imaging is more and more a breeze. Agak susah nak percaya jg gambar ni diambil semasa bulan masih ada dan keadaan yang agak hazy mlm td. Tk lupa light pollution, tp ni dah prove previously jg.

Will be waiting for more.

Thank you. Bila fikir-fikir balik, berapa kerat je yang tahu apa itu nebula, apa itu cluster, M / NGC mende-mende tah.. so tergerak hati nak buat catatan sikit. Harap kalau rajin, boleh tambah-tambah cerita sikit. 

Well, it is not a breezy as one might think. So many paramaters to check. mount pointing issues, autofocus. But memang betul, permenent setup helps to ease the pain. 

However, I begin to get the hang of it, the routines, SOP and what not.
