Untuk dijual, satu teleskop yang saya amat jarang pakai, Meade Instruments 80mm ED Triplet APO Refractor Telescope.
Harga ditawarkan RM1,200.
Apa yang included: Meade Instruments 80mm ED Triplet APO Refractor & 2inch to 1.25 inch adapter sahaja.

All metal construction.

As a photographer, I love the F/6 focal ratio. Quite fast for a telescope. Less exposure time for imaging.

Gambar berkenaan teleskop yang dijual:

Front element:

Rear element & focuser (top view):

Rear element & focuser (side view):

Rear element & focuser (opposite side view):
Seen on the side is one of the screw that will rotate the entire scope for easier composition/orientation commonly used in astrophotography. This will ensure that focus is not at all disturbed when composing a shot.

Rear element & focuser (undercarriage) :
As you can see, it has 2 locking screws. 1 is for matching the load of the imaging unit for the focuser to easily carry (friction). another is to lock focus.

The scope with dew shield retracted:

The scope with dew shield extended/expanded:

Ahem ...it will make an excellent guide scope. at least the image won't jump all over the place when adjusting focus.  mount to the imaging scope either piggy back (naik piggy) or side by side.

I know of some one who use TBM as a guide scope  evil
and ditto but  using Skywatcher Equinox 80  grin

I too tried guiding with the Edge C11 but not getting good results lah. Maybe too narrow FOV. cry

Anywhere darker sky than Kay EL for example Banting or Kampar will be acceptable. no need for Mek Mas lah. But you are most welcome to try.

cheers

ehemm.. not any more. Equinox 80 put unnecessary burden on the whole setup. Opt for the lighter and cheaper 80mm.

Pak Aziz, have you started Hyperstar the C11? starting long focal length astrophotography is a killer.

atau, maybe you were referring the C11 as guidescope?   shocked

Waiting for Banting tuan rumah to give blessing to use facility on July 1st weekend....  rolleyes

Halda, pe cite mount baru? ada first light?

latest update. Item reserved.

definitely a good scope for guiding, if ur mount can take the setup's weight.

Banting will need to b expedited. thinking about a date at end of June. Got kenduri that first week of July.

unless postpone to 2nd week of July, but quite close to fasting month.

which one gets the most vote?

Where exactly in Banting ?

Has anybody seen the sky from the Sepang Gold Coast area, I think Mr Universe24 was there at some point recently if I read the fb statuses correctly. Btw, along the stretch of the beach near the Gold Coast there's a dedicated tent/camping area of some sort. Might be an option, just a thought.

Banting sounds really tempting to me, less driving hour. June seems like some date that I can commit to, if it happens in Banting / Kampar.

Seems like a pretty packed month of July 4u.

Maybe we can still choose 24-26 but the session might be tailored to fit what is available in the sky. I'm starting to think about a few things like planetary (Saturn) and moon mosaic. Not to forget the Virgo Messier Objects. And to celebrate the morning sky, we can do the sun.

And we get to invite everyone new to this field (with equipment) and give somewhat hands on experience with their own gears!
