Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera.

Date: 22 Oct 2011, 9 AM Local Time.

This is my first shot on the sun via the 120ED and Canon 550D. I like the resolution. My personal fav so far.

quoting from my G+ post

Quote
The Sun early this morning. Literally peppered with Sunspots. 1325 & 1324 as well as the 1314, 1319 groups are a joy to watch. This is in fact the first light using my Skywatcher 120ED and Canon 550D, after getting a new set of Baader filter

The gradient is much better controlled in this image, with the new "imager". But I bet you lose a lot of "zoom" in the process. Maybe a good time to invest in a 2" 2x Barlow. Just in time for the Venus Transit in Jun?

Just nak tanya if you tried stacking the images? I had good results from stacking simple DLSR images previously. And bursting up to 100 shots should be relatively easy.

p/s: kat mana bleh tgk original size?

Tq

Probably yes, kena cari 2x barlow... but the 2 incher one expensive la

Actually I got 10 frames, tried stacking, but got this mysterious looking squarish thingy all over the image. Still looking for answers for that. So for the time being I use single frame dulu.
