The RED that was used as a comparison is of a different model. plus, I also read from your other post regarding DSLR video... Not that I'm defending the RED cameras or anything. Just trying to justify things, in the name of healthy discussion... 

However, to be honest, the DSLR video are more realistic than those of REDs for next year's planning. Even getting the local filmmakers to invest on a DSLR rig is frustrating, cant even imagine if we start talking about the other bigger formats. What if a modded DSLR is used to record the Eclipse in video like my modded 50D? Any chance it will turn the video reddish? I have changed the white balance to custom so that on bright sunny days it will look more natural. And will explore that Magic Lantern too... or maybe a firmware upgrade will suffice for a 50D to do proper video...

It seem that Pak Aziz has bought the EO full version during that time?
Now we got an expert in EO to help us on how to write the script in EO.
EO definately help a lot and we can do more tasks.
Let's have TT session to discuss more. For those who experienced totality before can share their experiences.

At the TSE 2009 I use this tracking mount with the 1D2 and the 400mm f/5.6+1.4X converter and the EO software

Thanks for sharing the setup arrangements... Now the time comes to test the maximum load possible on our tracking mounts... and get partners to share the KGs... hhmm.....

kalau buka nampak kaki tripod

selepas gerhana baru tahu solution ialah pendek kan kaki tripod sahingga kamera ke rumput dan lebih dongok kan kamera ke langit.

Pertama kali experince  gerhana matahari. Tu lah kena buat persediaan yang rapi.

Boleh training di dome ke. Masa training tu sloo....ow lah time sahingga total eclipse around 20 -30 minute. Dapat lah bincang apa yang patut di buat.
