Taktau sama ada topik ini di mana sesuai diletakkan kalau tak sesuai harap boleh pindahkan.
Baru-baru ni jumpa Tommy, bawak wife pergi sessi astronomi saya terfikir bukan mudah nak ajak isteri kita ni dalam aktiviti sebegini then makes me wonder how Tommy managed to do it Smiley
Sure husband wife share the same interest?  huh  grin
Shah lagi la.. gadget ribu2, masa yang digunakan mantain falak-online, pi sessi mencerap , talk etc..BTW anyone here apply nak jadi malaysian first astronauts?

Rasanya amateur astronomi ni perlukan 1.minat 2.RM$ 3.isteri yang understanding.4.? 5.?

Apa komen sifu2 dan kawan2 kita ?

Rizal,

Sebenarnya nak jadi astronauts dan jadi amater astronomer are two different subjects. Saya lebih suka jadi ground based amateur astronomer rather than become an astronauts.

Become an amateur atronomers, you really need to spend more times in observing, money for equipments, manakala wife yang understanding tu tak lah begitu penting sangat. You know why? coz very hard for a pair of husband and wife to live together under astronomy. Better dont force youself or her to accept this kind of "boring"  wink field. tongue

Regarding to money for equipments. As what i experienced before, I do owned a lot of equipments but at last i sold if off one by one. Becoz i keep wondering why keeping so much of equipments without using it? So now, my gears are getting less. I feel very portable. Every amateur astronomers nowadays loves portable. We can save a lot of money to do bunch of things in our life.

Without talking too much. I think this is the time for me to introduce an article to you all. Maybe this article will help u much.

Hahaha Tommy,
I just want to have some light but yet interesting conversation  of being  amateur astronomer. Smiley
Spouse plays an important factor especially when you have 3 kids and spent thousands of your pocket money for it, thats why people at cloudynights talked about it, they will add some comments about the "wife-factor" at the end of their message each time they bought new scopes! It sounds like a joke but that is the reality.
Alamak my class almost started!
See ya!

hey, i'm the legendary tommy's wife --  meiyen grin

heard tommy talking about this subject, so wanted to add some thoughts lah...

it's not surprise to see us in pair at every single astronomy events/activities cos
i'm also one of the committee members in starfinder astronomical society mah... wink

talking about astronomy knowledge, i have very minimal(close to none...haaha..)
but i do have interest in astronomy & participating society.

money is a big issue when comes to buying new telescopes/accessories... must find
a balance point loh..

as for kids, we currently havent gone to that stage but i'm sure it's another big problem..
but if i do, i will encourage my children to participate too!!
