I have for sale a highly customised high performance telescope that you will not find anywhere, period, in fact I have never seen any other as far as I know. It represents excellent value for the money and you will not find anything quite like it unlike the ubiquitous made in China scopes (analogous to a Mercedez Benz automobile vs a childs tricycle). It consist of the following. 1. The optical tube assembly is a made by Meade in U.S. Enhanced Multi-Coated (EMC) Meade ETX 125 Maksutov-Cassergrain scope with F=1900mm, D=127mm, F/15. It was customised by Wegat Optical and features an extremely fine focus mechanics and zero image shift (much higher quality than the stock/consumer level ETX125's). The optics are factory clean and are perfect. The rear cell is custom machined by Wegat Optical and accepts all 2" Meade as well as Celestron (the biggest names in astro telescopy) Schmidt/Maksutov-Cassergrain Telescope accessories. That means that you can easily use this scope for astro imaging with separately purchased focal reducers and off-axis guiders without having to use any adapters. This is a great telescope and its the perfect platform for webcamming the planets or moon. The scope will come equipped with a Meade 2" to 1.25" visual back and a Meade 1.25" diagonal. I will also include made in Japan Meade Series 4000 32mm and 26mm Super Plossl eyepieces. Also included is a brand new Meade ETX125 Dew Shield. It will help prevent frost and dew formation on the main lens, as well as block stray light from entering the optical tube assembly (street lights!!). 2. The rings that hold the optical assembly are made by Ken's Rings and feature a finder scope bracket which holds a Meade 8X50mm finderscope. 3. The entire assembly is attached to quick release dovetail. The dovetail bar is made by ScopeStuff and is solid machined aluminum, which is much stronger than the stock dovetail bar. 4. Computerised Navigation is provided by the #497 Autostar controlled LXD55 German Equatorial Mount (GEM). This is not the stock altazimuth mount. This GEM provides the precission tracking necessary for time lapsed astrophotography. This mount had just been serviced by Meade where they completely overhauled it and sent it back with a new #497 Autostar handset with software version 40Ef installed and it works perfectly. The LXD55 is completely computerized and has full Go-To (database of 40,000+ objects) and auto tracking abilities, it is auto-guide capable as well if you want to use it for extended time exposure astrophotography. This GEM can easily carry any optical tube assembly up to 45lbs, so if you can use this mount with different scopes if you have them, just add the appropriate amount of counterweight. Setup is a breeze, just align the scope, point the scope north and Autostar does the rest, astro-charts not necessary. Gone are the days when you wondered what you were looking at! Go-To Saturn and see it with its glorious rings, Go-To Jupiter and marvel at the red spot, Go-To Nebulas and DSOs or just hit the "Tour Tonites Best" for the computers own selection of the best objects to view. I will include with the GEM, a 12V rechargable lead acid battery and charger. I have printed a new set of instructions for the #497 Autostar controlled LXD55 German Equatorial Mount (GEM) mount from Meade's website and have set them into a 3-ring binder for the prospective new owner. Shipping FOC by DHL or FEDEX Insured in Malaysia only. I will be happy to answer any questions.

Start bidding at    RM 8,333.00 . Ouch!  shocked

Terlampau expensive. For my experience...this seller got a good idea on how to set it up. But the price is too much...And LXD55 mount nowadays can get it around RM2000.00~2500.00.......

My 50 cents opinion only.

Not that cheap for a second hand item.
If it is LXD75, maybe still can consider.
For comparison, a 5" Sky-Watchers Mak-Cassegrain couple with HEQ5 PRO GOTO mount will costs roughly the same. And it's NEW, not used.
But it will be interesting to find out if people actually go and buy it.
