manual exposurenya sampai 15 s(as most canon DC)

cukupkah 15s untuk tangkap gambar buruj???
star trails show at 15s or not ??

Pendapat saya, camera tu tak sesuai untuk astrophotography. Ada banyak sebab, tapi yang utamanya
1. Exposure terlalu pendek
2. IS mode tak boleh digunakan untuk astrophotography. Kalau boleh tutup IS, mungkin OK.

I tried but fail to find the forum where there were discussion on the IS in astrophotography.
IF I can remember well, the main bad point of IS is that due to its design and feedback system, it will introduce "shake" to the image when taking astrophotography. The lens is design to "expect" vibration from our hand, but when taking astrophotography, we usually attached the  camera to tripod, which will hold the camera steady. When the camera sees this, it will generate false feedback that will cause the image to shake.
The IS will also drain your battery power, as there is continuous feedback between the camera and the lens.
I noticed that the canon IS camera you are looking for can switch off the IS function, which is good, if you find that the IS is not working well in astrophotography.
