A'kum semua ahli forum

sila pengendali pindahkan jika perlu

t. kasih

hmm, please click 4 inf0rmati0n,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orion_Nebula
but i think still need inf0rmati0n fr0m anyb0dy to really undertand it, hehe..  smiley
with all ur questi0n, still searching 4 its answer!!  wink

hmm, yg dikatakan gas itu debu..
kal0w xsalah, debu yg akan m'bentuk jd planet or stars,
that's why its called nebula..

jgn sedih, selagi kita m'cuba, xde yg mustahil, right?!  grin

Hi,

First of all, the picture shown here is The Orion Great Nebula. I am not sure what exactly what nebula mean, but it generally mean those group of gas cloud in the space.

The red color of the nebula is emitted from the nebula itself which in the wavelenght of 656.3nm, called H-a line. Which mean, the nebula is rich of hydrogen.

Usually, lights (or we should say, photons) from nebula are very weak. Plus our eyes not sensitive to the red color emitted from the nebula, therefore we cannot see the red color of this nebula through telescope.
Anyway, most of the CCD camera is sensitive to red color. Furthermore, camera can collect photons and add it up to show the image as final result. So we can capture it.

cheers

Color is something that "create" by human brain from detection of human eyes to descript the wavelenght of visual light, which all we known from red to indigo.
We can see or detect signal from celestial objects in deep space is because of electromagnetic wave(em wave). Visual light also em wave. Therefore, there are no meaning on color for those celestial objects we saw. Whatever color that can show the beauty of celestail objects, especially nebula, that is the best way we show to public about the beauty of the universe.

Lagi bagus kalau digabungkan dgn lagi satu buku Covington iaitu Astrophotography for the Amateur.
