hi, thanks for help everyone! cheesy

this is the result

Tahniah. sekarang nampak pun M42.

hm... next time when imaging, i should shoot in RAW modes, keep the exposure to 30-50sec, iso about 800 (sy rase nikon still cant handle iso 1600-too many noises bah), f3.5-5.6 , n cover the eyepiece? btul ka?

Ya untuk tripod mounted wide angle imaging afro

Astrophotography can be very rewarding, but do not expect to get magazine quality photos after a few sessions! The best way to get involved is to start small and work up. There will be a lot to learn along the way. There are many good web sites that offer tips on how to get started.

But the best way to learn is to have a senior/instructor. So join a astrophotography club or astronomy club with an astrophotography special interest group(SIG)  and not an observing astronomy club and start with preused equipment

Next step is to try for M42.  You need a tracking equatorial mount where your exposures is measured at least in 60sec upwards.

With your new skills Maghrib ini cuba ambil gambar smiley. Selepas masuk waktu maghrib solat  mula  point your camera and take a series of exposure. You can try different exposure time and different zoom. Hopefully one will be a keeper.

Jangan lupa post gambar disini  grin

cheers

Bro mymoon dah banyak bagik petua.  Satu lagi cadangan guna a faster lens (f2.8 or larger).

went to pick the nikon 50mm 1.8 n pay around RM400. Nikon also has the 50mm f1.4 and 50mm 1.2 for RM1k and RM1k5 respectively.

Generally I found Nikon(M) lenses pricing lower than Canon(M) prices.

AWAS jangan ter teropong MATA HARI. padah cry

contoh

gambar2 akan terbalek. upright lah dengan Photoshop.

Belajar focussing, framing, nak set ISO, cara guna remote shutter release,  cara time shots= 3 seconds dll .

I tried stacking a few images of wide angle to get better results. Tapi byk kali (registax & Maxim) kluar error sbb dimension too big dan maxim pula ran out of 4GB memory.... I also tried with jpegs with the same results so far.

Images from Canon 40D and nikon D300...

Ahem...MaxIm boleh ke 'rotate and stack' ke bukang 'stack' or 'translate(move up-down, and/or sideways) and stack'.

Saya terbaca dalam buku Digital SLR Astrophotography by Mike Covington. with a Fork Mount(without a wedge) and without autoguiding set up the telescope carefully to track you can keep exposure per sub frames under 30sec and expose up to 2 minutes before field rotation shows.

So mount your camera piggyback onto the telescope. Ini memerlukan alat untuk pasang piggyback. Dalam catalogue Meade ada untuk SCT . Ada pun boleh suruh machine shop buat. Google "Piggyback Telescope"

So after taking the subframes in the raw mode take dark frames , stack with rotation. Remember Nikon use Mode 3. Buang gambar dekat azimuth where rotation is especially fast. Try to take pictures below altitude 40 deg in the east and west.

One thing good about Fork Mount is that there will be no drift alignment problem because there is no polar alignment in the first place!

So kalau Saudara Redzuan boleh concentrate on image processing in MaxIm boleh lah kita orang ambil gambar DSO dengan guna Fork Mount. Bila dah mahir berilah kursus process guna MaxIm.

err...gambar M27 terpapar dalam buku itu dgn  guna Meade LX90 8 inchi, stack and rotate in MaxIm 9X30sec exposures direct coupled to a Canon 300D at ISO 400..

cheers

Dob dah lama boleh buat imaging, selagi kita motorized-kan mount dia.. dlm erti kata lain..ia akan fungsi sama mcm teleskop Alt-Az lain seperti LX90, LX200 etc etc.

yang lecehnye kena modify sikit mount tu la.. hehe..

dah pernah cuba experiment almost 3 years ago.. tengok SINI.

Platform to bertindak sebagai tracking system. Membolehkan Dob tracking. Boleh tahan 3 jam. Ambil apa pun cukup masa (astrofotografi). grin
