Ahem...MaxIm boleh ke 'rotate and stack' ke bukang 'stack' or 'translate(move up-down, and/or sideways) and stack'.
Sebab nya kalau boleh 'rotate and stack' boleh guna Fork Mount yang ANGKASA ada dan juga kebanyakan Pej Mufti untuk DSLR Astrophotography.
Saya terbaca dalam buku Digital SLR Astrophotography by Mike Covington. with a Fork Mount(without a wedge) and without autoguiding set up the telescope carefully to track you can keep exposure per sub frames under 30sec and expose up to 2 minutes before field rotation shows.
So mount your camera piggyback onto the telescope. Ini memerlukan alat untuk pasang piggyback. Dalam catalogue Meade ada untuk SCT . Ada pun boleh suruh machine shop buat. Google "Piggyback Telescope"
So after taking the subframes in the raw mode take dark frames , stack with
rotation. Remember Nikon use Mode 3. Buang gambar dekat azimuth where rotation is especially fast. Try to take pictures below altitude 40 deg in the east and west.
One thing good about Fork Mount is that there will be no drift alignment problem because there is no polar alignment in the first place!
So kalau Saudara Redzuan boleh concentrate on image processing in MaxIm boleh lah kita orang ambil gambar DSO dengan guna Fork Mount. Bila dah mahir berilah kursus process guna MaxIm. Tak payah tunggu budget lah.

Ini apa yang saya terbaca dalam buku itu.
err...gambar M27 terpapar dalam buku itu dgn guna Meade LX90 8 inchi, stack and rotate in MaxIm 9X30sec exposures direct coupled to a Canon 300D at ISO 400..
ahem...ada FO member dgn LX90 buat observing saje dan 300D guna untuk wideangle saje ...
