Assalamualaikum & Salam Sejahtera..

Sambil belek-belek teleskop meriam buluh yang makin uzur ni.. saya terfikir, jika seorang tu mempunyai beberapa buah teleskop atau pernah guna jenis-jenis yang berlainan.. agak-agaknya mana yang paling berguna untuk dirinya.

Berguna bermaksud dari segi kepuasan diri, apa yang dapat dicerap etc etc.

Setakat ini, saya dah guna Meade LX90, Dobsonian dan Equinox+HEQ5, dan bino 9x63...

Setiap satu ada kelebihan dan kepayahan...

Tapi secara umum, hati saya tetap kepada Dobsonian veteran tu!  grin

Senang nak pasang, aperture cukup besar.. tak banyak kerenah...  bab kata orang, bila dah terkena je 'aperture fever', kita tak akan pandang ke belakang lagi.. mesti nak cekup yang lebih besar!

Mungkin tahun 2010 ni, buat target baru... kembali ke Dobs... atau mungkin Giant Bino!  evil

Nak setup equatorial mount memang makan masa (kadang kala).

Kalau setakat visual, memang Dobsonian yang berdiameter 12 inci ke atas tu yang best.
Kalau tambah EQ platform lagi bagus. evil

Selain tu, segala teleskop sistem yang ada GOTO pun bagus.

Peralatan astronomi yang paling berguna untuk saya adalah Takahashi P2 mount.
Mount ini solid dan boleh digunakan utk visual dan photography.
Antara peralatan yang I miliki, I paling suka mount ini dan tak pernah menyesal.

ini sudah lebih budget

DOB 15in (upgrade dari 10in) Obsessions atau pun dengan Zambuto mirror dan servocat equatorial platform tambah pula GOTO

bolih beli Toyota Camry.....

kata nak kurang kos jimat belanja.... shocked

pening  grin

I can only quote Carl Zambuto. His advice when buying telescopes(does not apply to beginners BTW)

1. You cannot go wrong when 25 people say how good that telescope is.
2. buy a telescope that makes you beam with joy, where you get emotional, acting like a child when dad give you an icecream, slop all over  the face grin

interesting article. So for a permanent DOB get as big as you can afford. For Mobile to transport to the observation site up to 12 in.

must go and ask stargazer whether the 14in ORION New XX14i IntelliScope is included in  their coming weekend sale.

query:anybody know how to get a Servocat or an 14 inch DOB equatorial platform at reasonable cost. grin
