Title: M31 - Andromeda Galaxy
Post by: nsyahron on February 01, 2008, 06:09:01 AM
Minggu lepas langit cerah utk satu malam, jadi saya mengambil kesempatan itu utk merakam imej galaksi yg paling dekat dengan kita dan paling terkenal iaitu Andromeda Galaxy (Messier 31).  Peralatan yg sama seperti yg saya gunakan sebelum ni (William Optics ZS66SD on Nexstar 6SE mount). Comments appreciated!

SubhanAllah, our own galaxy is about the same size. You have recorded a light which left that galaxy two million years ago; at the dawn of earth history.

Congratulations.

cheers

Good effort! Can see the galaxy arm structure clearly. BTW, this galaxy is not the same size as our own Milky Way galaxy.

Have you apply dark frame, flat-field & bias to your image? Do you use RAW file to save your image when shoting?

Thanks Tommy, bro Aziz, and universe24 for the compliments.

I calibrate with dark and flat frames from previous sessions.  I'm shooting at 2oC temperature, so camera noise is not so big of a problem, that's why I didn't care to take darks at every session.
