Hi all,

I have been modified my 350D camera long time ago by replace the internal original low pass filter with Baader UV/IR cut filter. Since the modification, no chance for me to test it out due to weather condition.

On Saturday night of Sunday morning, the sky opened for about 30 minutes. However, only not more than 10 minutes to take some test shot. This is because of equipment setup time and focusing time consumed.

Below is the test shot image. I found it is very promising to take nebula image by replacement of the DSLR filter. I added a light pollution filter to reduce artificial light reflection from the atmosphere.

6x30s
80mm ED f/7 refracting telescope
No image calibration

aiyaa..and sifu call that a "test shot".  That's just awesome ,well done.

For us to shoot the lagoon nebula and the trifid nebula in 10 mins will be a big struggle.

I really wish I could handle getting up that early to catch the milky way..

Looking forward to the final shot.

cheers

abang mymoon, milky way dah mula naik sekitar tengah malam... boleh lah try several shots during then. Jupiter pun ada di persekitaran.

well, except  you would need a big fan in the sky to blow the clouds away from KL skies. grin

otherwise it is better to be in between the bed sheets evil

saya terbaca Planetarium Negara buat cerapan pada tiap2 malam sahingga Ahad ini. Konon nya minggu astronomi.

Tapi langit ditutupi awan nak buat macam mana. Tembak awan boleh lah. grin

cheers
