pensyarah terkenal Prof. Madya Dr. Mat Rofa Ismail, dari Jabatan Matematik, UPM fired the first salvo.
My wife and I drove all the way to hear the talk by the Prof. One look at the programme and we decided to take the front empty seats. We and a couple of others got chased by a goon from the front seats(apprently meant for VIPs UMNO style-kerah tenaga) to the back together with the children brought to fill up the otherwise empty seats. These kanak2 sekolah buat bising drowned the bulk of the talk. They should have not let the primary school and kindergarden kids into the main hall so early and the talk should have been after the opening ceremony by the VVIP .
We left the hall after Prof's talk.

But meeting old friends save the day. The Prof spent some time with us (budu gang) and help us fill in the blanks of his talk. meeting Dr Chong, The Lims, Farhana n Nasir, The Falak Mufti group from Penang make us forget the little incident and wash down by the good makan compliments of the Observatory.

Observation: Have to move away from DSLR and learn CCD imaging. Looks like the whole country is going CCD imaging.
