For muzzamir:

what a better way than to catch them when they are young.

yesterday went up north for a tahlil. Call earlier about the sky and was told after the evening rain it is usually clear with scattered clouds.

so brought along from the birding days the swarovski AT80HD and the manfrotto tripod and the fluid head.

The Swarovski AT80 (AT=angled) scope was on the market from the early 90's and during its existence was regarded as one of the best birding scopes. In particular its zoom eyepiece enjoyed an excellent reputation.

Description:  HD glass
Objective lens: 80mm
Focal length: 440mm
Eyepieces:  20-60x zoom
Focus: helical focusing ring
Sun shade: pull-out sunshade
Accessories: adapter for astronomical eyepieces.
Warrantee: Lifelong

After the tahlil and the makan at around 11pm set up the scope for viewing the sky.

and the sky of interest

jupiter and its four moons.

a major change of use for the swarovski scope

for this

cheers
